MTT WEEKEND
last weekend i dedicated to mtt play exclusively i playt a lot a tourneys and had mediocre results
saturady i couldn win a coinflip no matter how far ahead i was so it was just frustrating runing that bad and cannot change it i was not even close to get in the money on saturday oh wait i did win 2 satelites for sunday million
sunday it was even worst i dont want to even describe such a bad day you all know when things are going bad they are real shitty situations coming up where you can avoid to go broke like when i hit my full house on the river with 55s on a aqq25 board my opponnet had slowrolled his aces full all the way
i did cash in a few today i playt the 20k 3k stating chips 12noon time at stars 1456players enteret and i finished 72th or something like that
then it followed with the 20k nightly where over 2048 players went in i finished 52th after losing ak vs jj flop was j55 oh well luck was not on my side at the end but i am very happy with my game i can tell it is improving finally all the hard work and study ihave put into my game starts to pay off
i play a very aggresive style and get a lot a chips early i am not afraid to race early in mtt here is a hand we are deep in 20k blinds are 4k/2k i have 106k sitting in the cutt off i look down at 46s so i raise it up to 16k hoping to take the blinds right here and now
but i get a call from the big blind
flop KK2 he inmediatly bets out 20k having behind 140k now here no way he has a king most people tend to slowplay they sets so i just rerasied him 60k more and he insta folded his hand and i picked up a good size pot
i think here is where we divide good players from elite players
everybody can play aces or kings or premium cards but to see situations where you can take advantage of it and chip up without showdown is where the difference is you give nothing away you just rake in the chips by sensing weakness in your opponents
i have learned to be more observative at the tables at least when i am not multi tabling

update on tournaments
ok the last 2 days i focused on mtts and played a bunch of it with not so much of a success i played a lot a rebuys which i am practicing to chip up and aquire a big stack early to bully the table later on when antes kick in
i did cam close in a couple i placed in 35k rebuy for 31st very disapointing so close and losing a 2,3million pot with aa vs qq but i guess that is poker
then i played also in the 30k rebuy whih i placed 14th right on the bubble again i was a bit short in that one since i was card ddead for teh last 2 houers i had about 680k left in chips when the average was about 1.8 milion at 80k blinds level so i pick up a8s you can imagine i had to move here in the cut off i shoved the blinds but to my luck bb woke up with ak the board came no help for nobody and thats was it again i felt i played great poker and that is important i can see how my game is evolving after making a few adjustments to it jsut at teh last 2 tables luck is not on my side but i t will change i hope so
today i bubbled a few mtts the 20k rebuy run into 2 cooler hands where i lost about 35k from my 45k stack and then i couldn make a comeback
butthe day is still young so i will continue playng to see if my luck changes at all if not il take a break for today and study a poker video or something in that area
i will update later on tonight if i hit a decent score or the next few days before weekend

NEW YEAR NEW GOALS
2008 is here and its time to make some goals
this year i will focus a little more on live tourneys and will try to get at least at one final table in a mayor live event and also i will try and win a few smaller live mtts in las vegas
as of online my goal is to win a sunday mayor this year and a couple mid buy in mtts
and also i want to win the 55k rebuy at stars this mtt has given me such a headeache i am over 8k down in that particulary mtt so i need a win to make some profit in that mtt
as of 5card draw i havent been playng much the last couple of months beacuse i have been focusing on mtt game but 5card draw is something i master so no need to spend time there only if i need to make some buy ins back infact yessterday after having a horrendous day at mtts i jumped to 5 card draw at stars multi tabled a few for 1 houer or so and made 360us profit at 1/2 pl and
at 50c/1us there where not many tables going on i will post a couple hands here
as of the last couple days i started again playng mtts and i had a very unlukcy run
2 days agoi think i busted 12 mttts without cash or one tiny little maybe but nothing serious to talk about i just run cold and my cards dont hold up or get outdrawn by people who overplay there hands but hey it got to change
i did placed close in the 15k gtd i came in 45th after my 2 pair a3 vs a5 got flushed on the river for a 300k pot which had put me in top 5 places and i would have had a real shot to take it down
then in the 20k rebuy i came in 86th after kk loses to 66 for 450k pot and in another 106th i think where i made a squeeze play which went wrong i got called by ak vs my a7 no help so gg me there
i made a small experiment i went down to the micro limits 25c/50c nlhe cash tables and opent up 14 of them and played for 30minutes i was surprised how profitable there are in such volume i ended up 160us up in 30 minutes at 14 tables i was wow and you can imagine playng so many tables you dont have time to pull fancy moves just focus on fast clear decisions as the tables pop up and its good training to keep focus
i was inspired to try this out by a training video i watched where the guy was playng 26 tables
so today i will focus on mtts and play a bunch of them i hope ican final table or win atleast one today i am really due for this i play well but get unlucky at the end of each mtt final 2 tables are my nemesis hehe so check out the hands i post here and i will also post a couple videos form some deepruns in mtts
